Introduction

The year is 1860 and the Southern States have started to threaten succession over their displeasure with the Federal Government.   What our forefathers fought so dearly to obtain is being threatened by the division amongst our own nation.  In response to the possibility of a Civil War on the Horizon the United States Government has sent out a work order for "adventurous reporters."  You have discovered that the United States government does not have a sophisticated reporting network.  Therefore Lincoln has called for enterprising journalists to provide the U.S. government with some of the first hand accounts of what will transpire during the war.  Your reports could have a huge influence over political and military actions.  Your task will be difficult, will you put patriotism above journalism and gain support of the War from the common people and preserve the Union?  Will you agree to take the position among the  "Bohemian Brigade" and live the adventure of a lifetime?

In choosing to accept this position you will be traveling with the Union army reporting on the events that transpire by sending dispatches back to Washington D.C. and President Lincoln.  It's crucial that you are successful in your mission so that the U.S. government may preserve the Union and the fate of the United States.
